25 Weeks

Little Girl,
Only 15 more weeks to go.  Today you are the size of a rutabaga.  You weigh 1.7lbs and are making your mom's belly look like it's going to explode.  To be honest, this pregnancy is going very well and very quick.  There's just so much going on that I don't have time to give much thought to being uncomfortable.  I do look much bigger now than I did with your sister as the same time, but I think that's just my lack of working out and the fact that my body has already done this once before so it's stretched.  The heartburn is still there, but I'm surviving just fine on Tums.
My cravings have revolved around fresh fruit, Dr. Pepper, and birthday cake.  Your father bought me a little cake a few weeks ago, but I guess it wasn't enough.  I tried to convince him to let me buy a big cake from Costco last weekend, but he said I probably shouldn't eat that much cake (what does he know?).
School is going well, we've made it to the halfway mark and still going strong.  There are many days where I'm too tired to go to class, but I do it anyways.  You have decided to make it a habit to dance around while I'm attempting to listen to lectures or take tests.  Not so much fun, but good to know you are having a blast.
You are so very active, even more than your sister was.  You are going to be a very strong little girl because even though you are so little, you sure can whoop me from the inside out.  I'm glad you are so strong, but could you just tone down your karate lessons a bit?
I can't wait to meet you in a couple of months, it's so nice to think about how complete our little family will be once you get here.  Daddy, Mommy and their two beautiful little girls.
Love you,
Your ma

Sono

Baby,
Today we went to see the maternal fetal specialist.  Honestly, other than waiting in the waiting room for over an hour, the appointment could not have gone any better.  You are growing perfectly, are head down, and are already so beautiful.  You are measuring exactly your gestational age and your head is going to be huge like your sister and daddy's.  Whatever the doc was concerned about that sent me to the specialist turns out didn't even exist.  Even with me not having an intestine, you are still getting enough food and nutrients to grow big and strong.  Over all, it was a great appointment.  I was much more relaxed than I expected to be and very happy to see your beautiful face.
Keep growing strong little one, you're doing great!
Love,
Your momma

23 Week Dr. Appt

Sweet girl,

Today we went to our 23 week appointment.  It went as perfect as to be expected.  Your mom has put on far more weight than I would have liked this go around.  I just don't have the time to workout or walk like I did last time, plus the stress causes me to eat more than I need to.  I'm going to try to take the next 4 months and refocus my energy on taking better care of you and me.  Now that it's getting warmer out, it should be easier for me to get out and walk occasionally.  Plus your daddy is trying to get back on track with his diet and working out, so I'm sure he'll be more than happy to help me.

My blood pressure is perfect and your heartbeat is strong.  We're in over all good health.  The doc did recommend that we see a maternal-fetal medicine doctor.  My uterus is odd shaped and coupled with my intestine issues he just wants to make sure everything is perfect as you continue to grow big and strong.

Considering how much I've got going on right now, I'd say we are doing real well as a whole.  Your dad has been amazing as taking on all the stresses of home as I continue to work and go to school.  Your Grandma has also been a great person to have around all of the time, it's great that's she's there to help with your sister and eventually you.

I love you very much and hope you continue to grow strong while the crazy world goes on around you.

Love you bunches!

Daddy Kicks

Little Girl,
Today you finally let your daddy feel you move.  He's been waiting a long time for it.  Every time I tried to let him feel before this, you would stop the minute he put his hand on my belly.  Thank you for letting your daddy know you're in there, he loved it!
Keep growing big and strong.
Love,
Your momma

20 Weeks

Little Girl,
We're halfway there!!!  I honestly couldn't have told you how far along I am today if it wasn't for your daddy.  This pregnancy is going by so much faster than the last one did.  I think it's just because there's so much going on and life is now nonstop.
The heartburn has finally hit me, thank goodness I am able to control it with Tums.  It does make for some uncomfortable times, but it's really not that bad.  I am also definitely showing at this point.  Thank goodness for your Auntie Neyney letting me use her old maternity clothes or I might have to look like a sausage in my normal clothes.
We have your room set up minus a mattress and artwork.  Your room will be in what use to be our office so you can be closer to our room and further from your sister.  That way your crying wont wake her in the middle of the night.  We were going to buy a fancy bedroom set for you, but decided against it to save money.  There will come a time when we will buy something fancy, but right now this is all you need.  We re-purposed an armoire we have had for many year and it will become your dresser/closet, and we bought a little white crib from Ikea and it's perfect for what we are trying to accomplish...simple and easy.
School is now in full swing.  It's not too bad minus not getting to spend every night at home.  You are pretty portable and are not making this too rough on me yet.  I know we still have a few months to go, but I know we can make it.
You dad has already arranged your marriage.  His friend Allen Fette and his wife Mackenzie are having a boy 2 to 3 weeks before you are born.  Your dad and Allen are already planning on spending all the weird holidays together as a big happy family.
So far this pregnancy has been much easier than the last one, thank you for being so easy and strong.  I hope that you continue to be my easy baby when you come into this world...but please be a little like momma; your sister is all your daddy, so I'm going to need some proof that at least one of you is mine. ;-)
I love you very much,
Your ma

Dr. Appt and Sono

Baby,
Today we had our 18/19 week checkup and your anatomy sonogram.  I was a lot less uptight during this sono than I was with your sisters.  I think part of it is because we already know you are a girl, knowing that has made my life so much easier.
The stenographer took pictures of everything from your legs to your belly to your heart and head.  You look perfect.  I can already tell that you are going to have short legs like your daddy and your sister.  You are sitting breach right now, so we got to see your cute little butt.  You've managed to tuck yourself up into a corner of my uterus so well that we couldn't get a real good look of your face.  But what we did see was beautiful and perfect.

Keep growing big and strong baby, you are doing such a great job!
Love you!

A Kick

Tonight you kicked me for the first time....enough to feel it on the outside.  It was my favorite thing that happened this week.  Your dad and I are so excited to be able to see you during our sonogram on Monday.  By the feel of it, you are growing well and are going to be nice and strong.  Just one request though, keep the kicking to a minimum after bedtime, momma needs her sleep.
Love you bunches!
